Ajay Patel is the General Manager of Apptio and IT Automation at IBM, where he is responsible for Apptio, Turbonomic, Instana, AIOps, and the like to deliver a comprehensive set of AI-enabled financial (TBM, FinOps), automation, and operations management solutions built for optimizing and managing technology investments and applications in a hybrid cloud.

He joined Apptio in 2023 as Chief Operating Officer to lead corporate strategy, products, global partnerships and customer success. Prior to Apptio, he served as Senior Vice President/General Manager for VMware Modern Applications and Management business unit. In this role, Ajay was responsible for VMware’s strategy, products/services, and go-to-market for VMware’s Tanzu, vRealize and CloudHealth product portfolio focused on modern application development, cloud management and Kubernetes run-time and management. Previously, Ajay was responsible for the VMware Cloud Provider business with over 4100 Service Providers and all major hyperscaler clouds operating under VMware Cloud Provider Program.

Prior to VMware, Ajay led the core middleware business, Cloud Application Foundation, at Oracle. He led GTM for Oracle Exalogic, a middleware engineered system, and Oracle WebLogic, a Java EE Application Server, which was #1 in the market during his entire tenure. He also launched Oracle Java Cloud Service and set the roadmap for Oracle’s private cloud solution. Ajay has over 30 years of enterprise software expertise including SVP at Apigee (Sonoa Systems) and GM for BEA Systems, Data Services business. His prior experience includes management consulting and system integration with Price Waterhouse Coopers, EDS and AT&T.

Ajay holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine. Ajay previously served as the Treasurer and board member for Cloud Foundry Foundation. He is also a board member and technical adviser to public and private software companies.

Larry Blasko verfügt über mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung bei Aufbau und Führung von leistungsstarken Vertriebsteams in der Enterprise-Software-Branche. Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei Apptio war er Vice President of Sales bei HP Software (über die Opsware-Übernahme). Dort leitete er Teams mit Hunderten Millionen von Jahresumsatz. Als SVP of Sales bei Opsware spielten Blaskos Kundenakquise und Führungskompetenz eine wichtige Rolle bei der 1,6 Milliarden US-Dollar Übernahme. Außerdem war er über sechs Jahre in verschiedenen Führungspositionen bei Veritas Software und trug zum schnellen Aufstieg des Unternehmens und seiner Übernahme durch Symantec bei. Larry Blasko diente in der United States Army als Offizier und erwarb einen MBA der George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Allison ist EVP of Marketing bei Apptio. Sie leitet das globale Marketing-Team, das sich auf die Steigerung der Markenbekanntheit und Nachfrage nach den führenden TBM-Lösungen (Technology Business Management) von Apptio weltweit konzentriert. Allison verfügt über mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung in der globalen Nachfragegenerierung, der Schaffung von Marktkategorien und dem Aufbau leistungsfähiger Marketingteams.

Allison war zuletzt VP of Global Marketing bei Anaplan, einem Unternehmen für SaaS-Cloud-Plattformen, das die orchestrierte Performance, Planung und Entscheidungsfindung für das Unternehmen vorantreibt. In dieser Funktion transformierte und skalierte sie eine Revenue-Marketing-Praxis sowie ein Team und trug so zu einem starken Wachstum des Unternehmens im Jahresvergleich bei. Allisons Überzeugung, starke Teams aufzubauen und Kunden an die erste Stelle zu setzen, hat in ihren früheren Führungspositionen bei Docker Inc., GE Digital, Red Hat und Corning zu Erfolg geführt. Allison absolvierte die Elon University mit einem BS in International Business.

Als Executive Vice President of Global Account Management bei Apptio ist Toyan Espeut für Kundenbindung und das Kundenwachstum verantwortlich. Dabei liegt der Schwerpunkt insbesondere auf der Einbindung der Führungskräfte und der Ausrichtung auf einen Mehrwert für die Kunden. Sie verfügt über mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung in den Bereichen Strategic Account Management, Market Category Creation und Start-ups sowie Skalierung von leistungsstarken Vertriebsteams.

Espeut kam 2013 als strategische Vertriebsleiterin zu Apptio und leitete einige der wichtigsten Kundenbeziehungen von Apptio. Sie wurde schnell in die Führungsetage befördert und war in verschiedenen Positionen tätig, darunter als VP of Americas Account Management. Dort war sie maßgeblich an der Steigerung des Umsatzwachstums und der Kundenbindung beteiligt. Zuletzt war sie VP of Global Account Management and Strategy.

Vor ihrer Tätigkeit bei Apptio hatte Espeut Führungspositionen bei Accenture inne, wo sie Kunden in den Bereichen IT Service Excellence und ERP beriet.

Darüber hinaus gilt Espeut Vorreiterin im Markt für Cloud- und SaaS-Lösungen. Sie arbeitete in Führungspositionen im Vertrieb bei newScale (Marktführer im Bereich Service-Kataloge/übernommen von Cisco), Kronos (unterstützte dort die Einführung des Global Managed Services Business) und USi (des branchenweit ersten Application Service Provider mit Kunden wie PeopleSoft, Oracle und Microsoft über die Cloud/übernommen von AT&T).

Espeut besitzt einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Betriebswirtschaft und Marketing von der Bowie State University.

Eugene Khvostov leitet bei Apptio die Teams für Product Management, User Experience/Design, Pricing and Strategy und Product Marketing. Nach über zehn Jahren in führenden Positionen der technischen Produktentwicklung unterschiedlichster Branchen vertritt Eugene Khvostov bei Produktvision, Roadmap-Entscheidungen und neuen Investitionen einen strategisch-kundenorientierten Ansatz. Er sitzt zudem im Vorstand der FinOps Foundation, einer Community-basierten Branchengruppe, deren Augenmerk auf das sich entwickelnde Cloud-Finanzmanagement und Best Practices gerichtet ist.

Bevor er zu Apptio kam, bekleidete Eugene Khvostov mehrere zunehmend verantwortungsvolle Positionen bei Mastercard und Amazon Web Services (AWS). Er hat am Manhattanville College studiert und ist Inhaber eines MBA von der Stern School of Business an der New York University.

Jeremy Ung ist Chief Technology Officer bei Apptio und leitet die Teams für Engineering, Operations und Global Support. Er kann 20 Jahre Erfahrung für Software Engineering in den Bereichen Entwicklung, Produktmanagement und Engineering-Management vorweisen und verfolgt auch im Management seiner großen, weltweiten Teams einen personenbezogenen Ansatz. Er sorgt dafür, dass sein Team Prozesse, Praktiken und Technologien ständig modernisiert und transformiert – für mehr Skalierung, Agilität und Kundenwert. Als aktives Mitglied von Apptio Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) und Förderer der Asian American Groups arbeitet Jeremy Ung leidenschaftlich am Aufbau einer positiven Teamkultur und einer inklusiven Atmosphäre.

She is currently Executive Director of the Technology Business Management Council and a vice president at IBM. Prior to joining IBM, Margaret held leadership roles at both emerging and Fortune 500 companies, using her entrepreneurship and collaborative leadership to drive global initiatives, including cloud at HPE, network security at Microsoft, international e-commerce at Amazon.com, and portfolio strategy at Red Hat.

Ranked as one of the top Women in Cloud Computing, she was also named Business Role Model of the Year for Women in IT, and Mentor and Coach of the Year in the Stevie Business Awards. Margaret has worked and traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, and North America. She is an advisor to multiple cloud and technology organizations and early-stage companies and CEOs.

A seasoned entrepreneur and leader, Sunny Gupta was the co-founder and CEO of Apptio, an IBM Company. Under his leadership, Apptio evolved from a VC-funded start-up in 2007 to a public company on the NASDAQ to a private-equity held corporation under Vista Equity Partners, and now to a critical part of the IBM software portfolio. IBM’s $4.6 billion acquisition of Apptio in 2023 marked one of the largest software deals in IBM’s history.

Core to Gupta’s and Apptio’s success is his customer-first mindset and ability to deeply understand customer and market needs. Gupta pioneered a new software category: Technology Business Management (or TBM), that allowed technology and finance leaders to manage and optimize technology spend and value across organizations of all sizes around the globe.

Until February 2023 Sunny ran the Apptio business within IBM and he continues to serve on the TBM Council (TBMC) board of directors, an independent non-profit body that manages the TBM taxonomy, standards, education, and community. TBMC has over 15,000 global members with most of the global 500 and their C-level executives a part of this technology community.

Prior to founding Apptio, Sunny was EVP of Products at Opsware until its acquisition by HP in 2007. He was also the co-founder and CEO of iConclude, which created the IT runbook automation market and was acquired by Opsware. He launched his first start-up, Vigor Technologies, in 1996, and led its acquisition by Rational Software. In addition to his start-up ventures, Sunny has held senior leadership roles in Product Marketing, Business Development, and Engineering at Mercury Interactive, Rational Software, and IBM.

Sunny currently advises multiple technology companies and fellow CEOs. He is Chairman Emeritus of Apptio and Strategic Advisor to IBM, serves on the board of directors for Gainsight and Securonix (both Vista Private Equity companies), is a strategic director for Madrona Ventures, and is a Strategic Advisory Board Member to the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Sunny earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina.
